about River Road Hats
River Road Hats are handmade high-quality custom cultured adjustable hats. All hats are embellished with Kente, Adire or Bogolan African material. The hats are produced to be long lasting with vibrant colors and as each hat is custom to order, your pattern will be unique to your hat.
Kente - Ghanaian textile, made of handwoven cloth, strips of silk and cotton.
Adire - textile is the indigo-dyed cloth made in southwestern Nigeria using a variety of resist-dyeing techniques.
Bogolan (Bògòlanfini) - is a handmade Malian cotton fabric traditionally dyed with fermented mud.
Although the hat culture business is highly competitive, we believe that there is a place for colorful, attractive, affordable durable custom hats. Our goal is to build and market hats that will stand the test of time.
